What Are You Thinking About?

Do you know what “pondering” over something does? It shortens your breath, you won’t believe, but scientists have proven it. There are researches which had proven that if we think about something for a long period of time it actually makes us breathless. Our concentration goes to neurological-analytical process, leaving the respiration to the subconscious mind. Our body needs to contact our mind in the respiration process smoothly at all times, but thinking over an issue makes our concentration vary.

If we continuously keep working and do not think or worry about something for a long time, we usually give all our energy to the breathing system and conscious breathing. Our breathing is a self-sustaining process but, to cleanse the breathing tract the mind need to concentrate on the respiration process.

People often get confused between focused breathing and translational deep breathing. These are two entirely different concepts of the breathing system.

Focused breathing is when you concentrate on the track of breathing and follow the rhythm of breathing in a compact way, allowing each and every ounce of air to get fresh and cleansed. Naturally, this process takes time, but if you do consciously it is easier to do and takes less time.

Instead of over thinking, you should utilize your time in focused breathing. It is the easiest health remedy.

The other is breathing awareness, where you consciously breathe inside and out for a particular period, concentrating on the in and out of the air, it is dependent on the person as to how much and in what way they can go deeper in the belly.

It is not just a cleansing process of the respiratory tract, it also reduces toxins from the body, in turn, helping in reducing body fat also. Try the process and enjoy your life!

Popular Methods To Avoid Stress

Have you ever heard what the Sedona Method is?

It is a practice to help individuals let go of unnecessary feelings and swap them with positive ones; This is done by using a string of questions which is meant to help augment your awareness of the present.

In this method, when you enter into an emotional state, you will practise by asking yourself rational questions. You will train yourself in such a way, that you will only answer rationally in the worst case scenarios. You will practise first by visualising such situations and then asking questions. These practises will be remembered by your brain in real hours of crisis that will make the “sensible you” to answer instead of the “frustrated you” and replace your negative response with a rational and positive one.

Emotional Freedom Techniques Tapping (EFT)

This may sound insane, but it actually means tapping various part of your body, like your wrist, eyebrow or cheeks when you are about to utter some statements aloud, which are in difficult situations. It alters the reactions of people in hours of crisis with normal, well thought of ideas. When you tap some part of your body, your body is allowed to free itself and it sends signals to the brain that the situation is not favourable, the course of response should be different and well thought of, and the brain immediately reads the signal and reacts in the most logical possible way.

How to Control Emotions

The most commonly used de-stress mechanism is “Visualization”. In this method you imagine yourself in a certain situation that generally makes you angry and you visualise yourself giving a different reaction to it, it is like re-enacting something which is gone and giving it a positive end. This gives you strength to handle in future similar situations.

Change The Way You Think!

Have You Ever Heard The Word “Cognitive Reappraisal”?

In cognitive reappraisal, you reinstate the feelings which make you unhappy with thoughts that take you to the zone of contentment. At the depth of our emotions, lies the way we believe and the way we see ourselves being perceived by society. A bit of intervention is required for all of you to change the way you think about yourself, then only you can do anything at all about the judgmental society.

If you are a headstrong person, you will fail to analyze your own shortcomings, nobody can tell your mistakes, but yourself, but that doesn’t mean you will avoid criticism. Criticism is not judgement, it is a comment or a remark about you that is for you to decide, how you take it.

If someone who blabbers too much criticizes you for talking only when important, then that is a positive remark and not a judgment. But judgment is when someone important actually criticizes something in you, either you are ashamed of or proud of, that is you are already very sensitive about it.

For example, you like your skin to be dusky, but someone remarked you of being dark colored, that racist comment hurt you even though you like the way you are but you will be thinking I should do something about my skin, which is such a waste of time.

You should know, to analyze and change your perception of various situations.

Make your inner resources work for you, channelize them in such a way that you are in control and your emotions are in check, nobody should know your soft points. No one should know which thing to say to make you happy or sad, your moods should not be predicted. You should be naturally calm about everything around you.

This comes with deep breathing. With training, you can turn negatives into positives.

Once you enter the office premises the first thing that you look for is, where is your boss? Right? It gives you a start to see your boss or manager right in front of you, especially when you enter late in the office, then you give a lame excuse of being late for, and your day starts on a negative note.

Most of the metro cities have 80% of working population going through the same dilemma of life daily. You have no idea, but the fun fact is the first three hours of your day after you wake up determines your mood for the rest of the day. So starting a day in such a bad mood may spoil your precious date in the evening.

Human beings have a tendency to carry forward negativity with them all through. Conscious breathing helps you, eradicate just that. First of all things, yes, you should reach office on time, but if you failed to reach on time, especially, because of someone else and you cannot tell that to your manager then how will you face the situation, the best possible way out is, to take in all the negativity your manager gonna explode on you, fed to him by some other negative person.

Then take it to your desk, only to breathe that negativity out easily and quickly within minutes.

After reaching your desk, all you need to do is, sit straight, keep your palms on your thighs, sit in a balanced posture, not to stiffer and do deep breathing techniques, take those 3 magical deep breaths.

Then inhale a long last breath, exhale, and while exhaling think of your favourite actor…. No, I was kidding; you must not think at all, that is the trick.

The easiest way to relax is to give your mind a bit of time to rethink and relax.
